What are we learning this week?
Math:We are comparing two and three-digit numbers based on meanings of the hundreds, tens, and ones digits, using >;, =, and < symbols. We will record the results of comparisons. We will also use place value to understand properties of operations to add and subtract.

Reading: We are learning how to be in-charge of our own reading. We will learn how to be the "boss" of our own reading through making decisions based on habits, volume and stamina.

Writing: This week we will be revising, editing and publishing our favorite piece of writing.

Science: We will understand the relationship between sound and vibrating objects. We will illustrate how sound is produced by vibrating objects and columns of air.

We will be switching classes between 2nd grade teachers in Math starting this week! This will help differentiate ability levels to meet the needs of your child.
